Location: Battersea, Hybrid

Reporting to: Technical Manager

We are looking for a Garment Technologist to join us! You'll be responsible for the quality and compliance of selected ranges we produce under the JoJo brand, owning key departments and suppliers and covering development from initial research through to production delivery. You'll manage responses to customer queries and complaints through to a satisfactory close, and make sure the technical department delivers to schedule and to the standard required.

We're open to technologists at any stage of their career — junior, intermediate or established. The level of responsibility and support will flex to match your experience, so if you love the detail of product, quality and compliance, we'd love to hear from you.

A peek into your daily adventures:

• Keep technical workbooks, specification sheets and grading accurate and up to date, driving a right-first-time approach to fit

• Conduct and document risk assessments, and make sure suppliers are clear on product safety and labelling requirements

• Lead fit sessions and seal final product against specification, and keep the critical path on track for your product areas

• Assess test reports, determine commercial approval or next steps, and ensure products comply with hazardous chemical policies

• Maintain deep product knowledge — fabrics, trims and testing — and drive block and grading reviews for excellence of fit

• Onboard and manage suppliers and factories, travelling to assess technical capabilities and build strong working relationships

• Work with the Sustainability team on supplier queries and environmental impact, and support more junior technologists

Skills that make you shine:

Whatever your level, we're looking for:

• A genuine interest in garment technology, product safety and compliance, and some grounding in fabrics, trims or testing procedures

• A proactive, hands-on approach, and confidence building relationships with suppliers and colleagues

• Good attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to manage several product areas or priorities at once

• Willingness to travel to factories and our distribution centre as required

And if you're a more established technologist, we'd also love to see:

• Experience managing suppliers and factories, including leading fit sessions and critical path management

• Confidence assessing test reports and risk assessments, with sound, commercially-aware judgement

• Experience supporting or developing more junior members of a technical team
